Our Capacity to Choose & The Development of Choice

Colonialism is a machine of “naked violence,” which “only gives in when confronted with greater violence” — Frantz Fanon

(“The Wretched of the Earth” 1961)

The generally held consensus is that economic development occurs in succession of capitalist stages and that today’s underdeveloped countries are still in an early stage. These stages are often depicted as an original stage of history through which the now-developed countries passed long ago. Yet, a glance back into history demonstrates that underdevelopment is not an original stage. Neither the past nor the present of the underdeveloped countries resembles in any important respect the past of the now-developed countries. The now-developed countries were never underdeveloped, though they may have been undeveloped.

Positive- Sum Game

A situation in which all parties benefit through a highly considered, superior operating system as opposed to incentivizing the in-human instinct of greed.
